Yay! I hit those 2500 dls so my shiny new silver cannister is on it's way! *does happy dance*
And it was a flash-colouring plate that did the trick! I really should make some spring and easter ones before it's too late...
It was this file: "colouringplate winter"
Hmm, I seem to forgot posting round 3... Well here they are:
Round 3:
What had she (the runaway bride) done... she drove hime into the arms
of the Queen of Hearts who stitched his heart back together... He looks happy as he's painting all his broken blue heart red again ![]()
Round 4:
The cage was left open and he took his chance... flying away from those hell children and that queen with the lying heart...
Round 5 (final one) is in the making...
Yesterday Sue challenged me for a steelcage battle over at istock...
It's been ages since I've been active but hey, you can't stay retired
from something addictive and certainly not when Sue asked it so nicely
:-D
So she asked me to cast the first blow... Boy, did I have a inspirational block!
But in the end I created this:
No, I'm not going to marry, I'm happily married, thank you.
But I just wanted to show you my newest uploads to istock, 2 of my new christmasphotos. That's the "something new" part.
While I was browsing through all my pictures to make a decent
portfolio for when I start on my own, I came across the "something
old": a picture I took during photography class, the Picasso Potato
Head. I bought it after seeing Toy Story, he kept my computer company
when I was on chambers. Now my daughter plays with him and after long
searching I bought her the Mrs. Potato Head so the Mr. wouldn't feel so
alone anymore. A couple of weeks ago I saw that there even now Star
Wars accessories exist for it. Just what the geek in me wants... too
bad they were out of stock :-(
Although the wooden mannequin theme is a bit "old", I really like this one, but I'll have to wait if customers have the same opinion ;-D
This picture can be bougth at istockphoto.com
t's done. I've posted my blow for the first round. I was a nervous
wreck (ok, not totally but I love to be a dramaqueen :D ) My hubbie is
my personal coach, he gives cheers, heartless comments and stupid ideas
and he takes the cage very serious.
For those who aren't familiar with the steelcage: this battle is
fought with PhotoShop and a lot of imagination. One player challenges
another. A battle consists out of 5 rounds where each player
posts 1 blow/design. Each blow should contain some distinguised
elements from the previous blow... for more information read the rules
and faq here
How good you might prepare yourself in advance you still have to
wait what the previous blow brings you. And it has the tendancy to be
never what you expected it to be :D
I have a number of lightboxes (I confess, not only on istock) where I
put all the images that I might use in a future photoshopbattle. And
every time I still have to search some other pictures...
It has been a while for me, I resigned from the cage some time ago
because RL was a bit too chaotic and I couldn't be sure I could finish
my battles. And letting your opponent win by disqualification is so
lame...
But after the announcement that there was going to be a battle for the crown of the cage I had to sign me up.
If you want to see the previous blows (and next ones) in our Teambattle you can come and look here.
Toodles for now...
