May I present the first fine-art book my publishing devision has released: Artief.
It's about all artists from an art-collective called Artief.
This is a commissioned book but it's still my first release anyway ;-)
They arrived yesterday and I was very nervous 'cause it was the first time I worked together with this particular printer. I was anticipating problems as we're cursed: it seems that every time we have a new serviceprovider, the first job he does for us always goes wrong!
I had it with the digital printer for my fine-art pictures (more about that in another post) and I really was afraid for this book. That's why we set the deadline for the printer 3 weeks early so they would have time to reprint them if anything would be wrong. It seems we don't need it afterall... Would the curse be broken???
So here is a teaser... just a few spreads. The book is mainly in Dutch (not that there is much text) and costs 30 euro excl shipping.
So here she is... my little sweetiepie.
She arrived this afternoon with the courier. She really made my day, as I was feeling sick the whole day.
I really enjoyed unpacking her, I think I never unpacked something so carefully :D
We sat on my bed some time together before she told me she had
forgotten her name but she was sure it had an A, a T, an L and a
I-sound in it... I couldn't find any name with those letters that
sounded right for her, so I asked her if she liked Linde aswell... She
could live with that as she likes the colour and she's a natural girl.
When we wrote her previous owner a note that she arrived safe and
sound, I wanted to search the english equivalent of "Linde" and I came
across the latin name of the linden: Tilia! That was her name... so she
found her name back!!!
She wanted to try on all the clothes I already had gathered. She was thrilled with the backpack and her paintingset!
At least that's what my hubbie starts to think. When he came home last
night he found me behind a sewingmachine, and I'm sure he never
expected that :D
So yes, you reading it right, I went out yesterday and bought me a cute
little sewingmachine (which I didn't think was going to work at all
since it was only 5 euro °o° ). This new madness began when I saw the
sewingpatterns at TIB, I just had to make some clothes for my future
girl. I almost got the machine mastered.
I'll show them if you promise not to laugh ;-) I wanted to see them in
action but all I have lying around are barbies and they have too big
bossoms *sigh* I guess I have to wait...
And that all let to the point that my hubbie thinks I'm going insane ;-)
Oh, did I tell already that I'm going for the ILYIT girl? She has cast a spell on me, I say :-)
